Matthew DeForest – Sports and News Journalist

I am a passionate sports fan, I spend March and April poring over NFL free agency and draft prospects before settling in for the marathon that is baseball season. At 7:00 am on Saturdays, I cheer on my Bees in the Premier League. The list goes on but the energy and emotion never wane. The passion I have as a fan, I discovered for journalism as well. I love crafting interview questions and refining my process. I relish the challenge of guiding an interview but allowing a source to speak freely all at once. Most of all, I have a passion for becoming a better writer and a better reporter and I look forward to the years of experience I have ahead to accomplish that goal.
